My partner and I had been trying for a baby for 3 years before we realised we’d need help. It started as us “just seeing” what would happen, leading to regular trying, to tracking fertile periods to admitting help. We were both put on Clomid for a while but decided it was not good for us, we both had very emotional reactions which were not good for our wellbeing.
The tests started and we were put forward for ICSI (the one where they inject the sperm into the egg, rather than leaving the egg and sperm in a dish and hope it swims in the right direction). 4 years since we started trying the IVF process has begun.
I am 35 and my partner is 37, we live in London and are being treated at Homerton Hospital (who have been fab). I am no expert, as you will tell from my blog posts, but if you have any questions about what I’m doing and why, just ask. Be warned, a lot of the time I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.
