I've just done my last injection!!!!!!! I feel quite excited. It is making it all feel a bit more real. I had a cry on Friday night because I didn't feel ready but I think that was following two incredibly long days at work. This time next week I could be pregnant!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday 21st September : lead up to embryo transfer
Last night the injection was hard. The needle didn't seem to want to pierce the skin! Maybe it was a little blunt. The result was a more painful injection and a solid bruise this morning. I've also had a bad stomach. Yesterday I had to run to the bathroom a few times. Someone else at … Continue reading Thursday 21st September : lead up to embryo transfer
Tuesday 19th September : lead up to embryo transfer
I had a migraine last night which made my vision blurry. I couldn't concentrate to do the injection prep so OH had to do it for me. I think it was following a particularly busy day at work and I probably didn't drink enough water and I didn't have much sleep. Because of the hormones … Continue reading Tuesday 19th September : lead up to embryo transfer
Saturday 9th September: lead up to embryo transfer
I have been decorating and got so into it my injection was 45 mins late. Just after injecting I feel a bit woozy and going up a ladder was probably not the best thing! I am caught between wanting to carry on as usual and taking it easy. I'm wallpapering the baby's room. I know … Continue reading Saturday 9th September: lead up to embryo transfer
Wednesday 6th September : lead up to embryo transfer
I'm owning the injections at the moment! It seems like ages since the last ones but I'm getting the hand of it again. I'm starting to feel a bit dizzy. The nurse suggested doing it in the evening and I think it so you sleep through the brunt of the side effects. They'll start building … Continue reading Wednesday 6th September : lead up to embryo transfer
Tuesday 5th September : preparing for transfer
I spoke to the school nurse today about injecting in the leg or the stomach. She said that the stomach is probably best because you don't want to inject into muscle. I mean, I don't have much muscle on my leg but there is definitely less muscle in my belly! The angle she showed me … Continue reading Tuesday 5th September : preparing for transfer
Monday 4th September: preparing day 1
So I injected Suprecur in my belly. I forgot about the build up! It takes guts to push that needle in. I'm on 0.5 and this seems a lot compared to the others. The syringes are thinner though. I went for the belly because I thought it would be easier with the syringe but it … Continue reading Monday 4th September: preparing day 1
Day 23 : Friday 19th May
TGI Friday! I could sleep all weekend. So far the only side effects have been tiredness, hunger and itchiness on the injection site. The acupuncturist said that after the Progynova halting all my hormones, my body is crying out for them. That is why the side effects for the injections don't seem so bad. This … Continue reading Day 23 : Friday 19th May
Day 17 : Saturday 13th May
I slept very well again last night and had a bit of a lie in! I read through the Gonal injection side effects out loud again to OH, these ones seem to add vomiting to the headaches, dizziness etc. I'm happy not to be so windy! That was a bit much. So now we are … Continue reading Day 17 : Saturday 13th May
Day 16 : Friday 12th May
I slept very well. Having a heat on my cramps is the only way they really calm down. I slept on the sofa with the dog then got helped upstairs by OH when they got in from the night shift. I slept like a log! Yesterday was a day without hormones so I think my … Continue reading Day 16 : Friday 12th May
